ServInt LA Has Arrived!

ServInt LA Has Arrived!

When I started ServInt in 1995, I saw a niche that had yet to be filled.

Organizations, companies, and entrepreneurs like me were using in-house servers to host their own webpages. For big companies, this was sometimes ok if only a tad inefficient. However, for small businesses whose priorities did not necessarily include learning the intricacies of FreeBSD and Linux, it was a completely unnecessary burden.

That’s why I started ServInt. We could focus on keeping a website up, while our customers could focus on keeping their bottom-line up. There have been plenty of ups and downs in our company’s history, but at the end of the day we’ve come away a stronger company with a better product. Our flexibility, innovation, and ability to solve really hard technological problems has kept our customers, and ourselves, in business.

There are times in every company’s history when it has to take a big, bold step in its quest to grow. ServInt was blazing trails in 1995 and we haven’t stopped innovating since. In that same spirit, I’d like to announce the latest evolution of ServInt.

Allow me to introduce, ServInt LA.

ServInt as it is has been incredibly successful. We have a great business with great customers on an incredible network hub. We had created a “Madison Avenue” kind of hosting company, with great products at a killer location and we were successful because it made sense to build a network where the traffic is. That being said, we can always make things better, and soon after building a “Madison Avenue”, I decided I wanted to build a “Rodeo Drive.”

ServInt LA is the culmination of that vision, the idea that we can strategically grow our presence to not only better serve certain parts of the world, but that we could do it while improving our entire network in the process. I’ve been spending much of my time in California in order to personally oversee the creation of the next great evolution of ServInt and I could not be more proud of this company and what we’ve accomplished.

ServInt LA is comprised of three major initiatives:

1. Building a heavy duty data center presence on the West Coast of the United States, and empowering customers to buy hosting services in either location.

2. Building a powerful cross-country network that makes traffic faster for all ServInt customers by allowing all of our data centers to take advantage of each others’ connectivity.

3. Increasing the quality of ServInt’s network connectivity to Mexico, Latin America, and Asia.

I can proudly say we have done all three.

All VPS products will be available at ServInt LA for the exact same prices as our ServInt DC offerings. You can purchase your VPS here and your SuperVPS here.

If you prefer something from our Dedicated Server line look for exciting news about that in the coming weeks!

This is the same ServInt you know and love, just on the West Coast. We have on-site support technicians at ServInt LA, just as they are in DC. Though our Managed Services Team will continue to operate out of our mothership on the East Coast, we are building out ServInt LA to run according to the same high set of standards that have turned ServInt DC into such a success. Making sure that happens is the main reason I am out here in California overseeing everything.

I’d like to stress that this is also a foundational addition to our network which will make ServInt better for those of you who want or need a West-Coast based server as well as those of you who don’t. We are using this to build a better, faster, and stronger ServInt that is faster and more redundant for ALL ServInt clients.

This also opens the door to the development of new products and services that leverage diverse locations. That means that some exciting potential offerings like cross-country load-balanced servers, while not available immediately, are certainly elements we are actively working on.

Our FAQ page is up on our homepage, and our dedicated ServInt LA landing page can be found here.

Thanks for your time and support.
